Life Update: Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is all about spending time with your family and just being reminded of the people in your life that you are thankful for.
This year I spent thanksgiving in my home with my family, my brother who came home from college and my grandma.
Here are some photos of the delicious food my mom and grandma made and just some family fun times.

I just wanted to thank you all for taking time to read through my blog and supporting me with your kind words. It really means a lot to me.

Look Book: Fall OOTD

Ahhh, Fall. The time of year when trees turn different colors, scarves are back in season, and hot chocolate is an acceptable drink to have after the
age of 10...who am I kidding! Its always acceptable to have hot cocoa.

So since my OOTDs are so commonly recommended, I though that it would be the right time of year to make a Fall OOTD. Each outfit is what I wore during the week and are each perfectly accommodating to the brisk autumnal weather... along with a coat and hat for when I'm outside.

Also, if you want to learn a little bit more about my tricks to flipping your summer wardrobe for fall and winter, check out my 'Look Book: Updating for Winter'(just remember that I wrote it about a year ago and my writing has definitely gotten better since then).

Enjoy ;)

DIY: Tassel Keychain - by Shira

These DIY segments, starting with this one, will all be featuring arts and crafts created by the lovely Shira (because she is more artistic than I am)
;)

How to make a DIY tassel for your keychain

Materials:

-String or embroidery floss of your choosing (I used three shades of purple)
-Scissors
-A key and a keychain

Step 1
Cut string for desired tassels.
I wanted 3 tassels, so I cut 3 strings each of a different shade of purple.
Any length works, mine were cut to about 3 feet.

Step 2
Once string has been cut, wrap around one finger.

Step 3
Remove the coil from your finger, and cut a new length of string using the same color.
Put the new string in the coil, going through it evenly.
Tie a double knot.

Step 4
Once knotted in the middle, cut through the strings.
The tassel should now look like the picture below:

Step 5
Using a different color, tie a knot around the tassel.
Cut off any excess string.

Step 6
Tie the tassel onto they key chain.
Repeat steps 1-6 to make as many tassels as wanted!

Ta Da!
