Music Cravings: Kodaline

Lately I have been having a music craving. None of the bands or musicians I listen to were going on tour anytime soon, but I really felt like I had to go to a concert. I would constantly check if anyone I know were coming to town, but either nobody was coming to my area, or it just wasn't at a convenient time for me.
But then at the beginning of the month I was on the House of Blues website and stumbled upon a name that I vaguely recognized. Kodaline. They are an Irish band, originally named 21 Demands, who have all known each other since their childhood.

Their first album, In a Perfect World has 11 songs, including recurring singles like "High Hopes", "All I Want", "Love Like This", and "Pray". The album includes seven new songs; "One Day", "Brand New Day", "After The Fall", "Big Bad World", "All Comes Down", "Talk", and "Way Back When". In April 2014, the song "All I Want" was released as part of the soundtrack for The Fault in Our Stars, as well as used in the film. That feature is what has gotten them noticed by the public recently, and what allowed them to play at the House of Blues here in Boston on wednesday night.

Their performance also included music from Kodaline's new album, Coming Up for Air, which is more of an experiment with synthesizers and a whole new sound.
I really love their music. The concert wasn't a full house but Steve Garrigan, the lead singer, has an AMAZING voice, and the musicians are so good.

Here are some music videos of music from Kodaline's first full album, In a Perfect World.
